It was a "WORK"-cation... Though it was time away, it was all work and little play. My assignment was clear this "long" Memorial Day weekend: Paint two sides of my father-in-law's house. I found myself exhausted at the end of most days. Little energy to do nothing more than watch TV. None for sketching or doodling. But while I was up on my ladder scraping, priming and painting, I composed images that would capture the day's theme, a moment in time, an incident worth recording. And I stored them in my head. Either my brain got over-loaded or knowing the job was done, I finally started sketching my last night in Michigan. I completed two and started several others.
