After 5 plus hours of piloting the van with six of the 8 happy campers to the cabin on the lake in Maine and once the party started, I knew the vacation had official begun! Though my peers claim that was the "only reason" I saw what I saw, I chalk it up to my creative imagination. Three tree trunks with roots exposed and one that grew straight from the ground, two lights on the distant shore and a collection of large white stones at the waterline made the three legged, peg-foot, long snouted dog with an underbite I fondly called: DALI-DOG.
Tell me you don't see that? COMMENT on why creativity gets so misunderstood!
ABOUT THE ILLUSTRATION
ALL the Maine 2003 Diary sketch/illos are rendered with a collection of some very "near-dead" scratchy NESTLER Techliner pens ranging from 01 to 02 on laser printer or "xerox" copy paper. Because some images were "very thin", I had push the LEVELS in PhotoShop.
