This was the first piece in my "Emily Dickinson Season Series." A series of illustrations portraying Emily Dickinson in each of the four seasons inspired by her poems on Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall.

Choosing the poem "In Winter, In my room," Winter is the most surreal of the four seasons.
